We are Committed to
Anabaptist Christian Ministry

Our Beginnings

In the late ’90s, a group of leaders of senior living facilities in Pennsylvania recognized a need for a unified face—a way to support each other and work together as independent organizations. Those leaders were dedicated to their work as well as their faith and Anabaptist values. APG was formed in 2001 by those original members as a space to come together, support each other, and share leadership opportunities.

In 2015, APG formed APG Post-Acute Network, LLC (APG PAN). This separate company joined with Covenant Health Network to form Covenant Health Alliance of Pennsylvania (CHAPa) to take our goal of support and unity to a new level by offering members a way to present a louder voice as a larger entity—stronger together. On behalf of 12 APG PAN members, CHAPa leverages the quality of care that exceeds national and state averages to negotiate favorable contracts with insurers for nursing home care, offers a group purchasing network, and provides opportunities for joint ventures in post-acute services such as home care and home health.

Today, APG’s primary mission is still to create and protect space and opportunities for the leaders of our 14 members to be forward-thinking, learn and pray together, and encourage one another in their work and growth opportunities. Our Anabaptist values remain at the heart of everything we do and inspire us to move forward together. We welcome other Anabaptist, senior living providers to join our circle and find their voice among peers—there is always an open seat at our APG table.

Check out this 5-minute video introduction to Anabaptism and how our values influence APG members’ organizational cultures and commitments. Whether you are Anabaptist or you’re just learning about us, we welcome you to our family, and we look forward to learning and growing together.

APG Covenant

As Anabaptist senior living ministries committed to the teachings of Jesus, the members of Anabaptist Providers Group voluntarily enter into a relationship with one another, agreeing to give and receive counsel as we live out Christian values in our organizations. To learn about specific ways leaders can practice these APG values, check out this resource.
